Ausangate Trek 6 Days and 5 nights

The Ausangate tour is an excellent hiking circuit offered to the traveler, such as a spectacular mountainous landscape, snowy peaks, hot springs, turquoise lakes, glaciers, herds of llamas and alpacas, picturesque villages and traditionally dressed Andean communities . It is a moderate to challenging walk, with several quite steep steps and often very cold nights.

This beautiful six-day hike begins and ends in the small Andean town of Tinqui and takes us to very high places around the Ausangate mountain and more than three overpasses (two of them over 4800 masl).

The peak of Ausangate is considered by the local population as a sacred Apu and is the most powerful central point of pilgrimage for descendants of Quechua today. This trek can also be combined with the famous Inti Raymi festival, Fiesta del Sol in Cusco or the winter solstice festival in the Qoyllority snow-capped mountains in front of the snow-capped Ausangate.
