Complete Itinerary: Choquequirao Trek 4 Days / 3 Nights

Day 1: Cusco – Cachora – Chiquisca

The adventure begins early in Cusco, with hotel pickup around 3:00 a.m. We then travel for approximately 4 hours to Capuliyoc, the starting point of the trek.

Here, you can have breakfast (not included) and enjoy the first views of the Apurímac Canyon and the snow-capped Padreyoc mountain.

Start of the hike:
From Capuliyoc, we begin a descent of  hours to Chiquisca, where we will have lunch and a short rest.

We then continue descending to Playa Rosalina, where we cross the powerful Apurímac River via a bridge.

Challenging ascent:
From the river, a demanding uphill hike of about 4 hours begins, leading to Marampata, where we will have dinner and spend the night in basic local accommodation.

Important:
The accommodations are rural homes that may include domestic animals (dogs, cats, chickens), so bringing earplugs is recommended for greater comfort.

Day 2: Marampata – Choquequirao – Marampata (Guided Visit)

This is the most anticipated day: the visit to Choquequirao.

We start hiking at 5:00 a.m. with a box lunch provided заранее.

Route to Choquequirao:
We walk approximately 4 km (2 hours) to reach the archaeological complex.

Once there, you will enjoy:

We will remain at the site until the afternoon, absorbing the energy and majesty of this unique place.

In the afternoon, we return to Marampata for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Marampata – Chiquisca – Capuliyoc (8 to 9 hours of hiking)

After breakfast, we begin the return journey.

We descend for about 3 hours to Playa Rosalina, crossing the Apurímac River once again.
Then we start the ascent toward Chiquisca, where we will have lunch and rest.

Finally, we continue climbing for  hours to Capuliyoc.

Special final night:
Here we will enjoy a farewell dinner with the team (guide, cook, and muleteers), sharing experiences from the journey.

Day 4: Capuliyoc – Cachora – Cusco

The final day begins with a relaxed breakfast.

Optionally, you can hike from Capuliyoc to Cachora (about 2 hours), enjoying the last views of the trek.

Afterward, we take transportation back to Cusco, arriving at approximately 2:00 p.m.
