Day 1: Cusco – Santa María (Mountain Biking)

Your adventure begins in Cusco with hotel pick-up at 7:00 a.m. We will head towards Ollantaytambo, where you will have time for breakfast before continuing the journey by transport for approximately 3 hours.

Along the way, we will cross the impressive Abra Málaga pass (4,316 m), the starting point of the biking experience. After a short safety briefing, you will receive all the necessary equipment to begin the descent.

Mountain Biking Descent (55 km / 3 hours)

You will ride through spectacular landscapes, traveling from the Andes to the high jungle, experiencing dramatic climate changes and amazing views of snow-capped mountains and tropical vegetation.

The biking route ends in Huamanmarca, where we continue by transport to Santa María. Here you will enjoy a delicious lunch and spend the night in a basic accommodation.

Optional Activity:

Class III and IV rafting on the Urubamba River, perfect for travelers looking for more adrenaline.

Day 2: Santa María – Santa Teresa (Hiking)

After breakfast (6:30 a.m.), we begin an unforgettable hike towards Santa Teresa.

During the first hours, we will ascend through natural trails surrounded by lush vegetation, with stops to learn about local flora, fauna, and culture. We will visit a local family’s home, where you can rest and enjoy fresh tropical fruits.

Historical Route: : We will hike along an original section of the Inca Trail that connected Machu Picchu with Vilcabamba. Your guide will explain the history and the Inca communication system.

Enjoy panoramic views of the Huancarccasa Canyon before descending towards Quellomayo, where we will have lunch and take a break.

In the afternoon, we will visit the famous Cocalmayo Hot Springs, where you can relax in natural thermal waters surrounded by beautiful landscapes.

Finally, we arrive in Santa Teresa, where we will spend the night.

Day 3: Santa Teresa – Aguas Calientes (Hiking or Optional Zip Line)

After breakfast (7:00 a.m.), we begin the hike towards Aguas Calientes.

The route follows the Aobamba River valley, passing through the archaeological site of Intihuatana, where we will cross an official checkpoint.

We continue towards Inka Rakay, where we will have lunch surrounded by nature. During the journey, you will enjoy waterfalls, lush vegetation, and incredible views of Machu Picchu Mountain and Huayna Picchu.

The final part of the hike follows the railway line until reaching Aguas Calientes, where you will spend the night.

Optional Activity: : You can replace part of the hike with an exciting Zip Line (Canopy) experience.

Day 4: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Return to Cusco

The most awaited day: the visit to Machu Picchu.

You will have two options to reach the citadel:

Hike: 1.5 hours walking up stone steps (free option)
Tourist bus (optional): $12 USD one way / $24 USD round trip

Once in Machu Picchu (2,490 m), you will enjoy a guided tour of approximately 2 hours, exploring the temples, terraces, and mysteries of this world wonder.

Return to Cusco : After the visit, you will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included).

Then, you will take the train to Ollantaytambo (approximately 1 hour 30 minutes), where our transport will be waiting to take you back to Cusco.
