An unforgettable adventure in the Andes of Peru. Experience one of the world’s most famous trekking routes, walking through turquoise lakes, high mountain passes, and impressive snow-capped peaks in the spectacular Huayhuash Mountain Range.

Day 01: Huaraz – Quartelhuain (4,180 m)

Departure from Huaraz towards the Huayhuash Mountain Range, passing through traditional Andean villages such as Chiquián and Llamac. Arrival at Quartelhuain, where the adventure begins with our first campsite surrounded by mountains.

Transportation: 5 hours
Camp: Quartelhuain

Day 02: Quartelhuain – Cacananpunta Pass (4,700 m) – Mitucocha Lake (4,230 m)

Begin the trek ascending to Cacananpunta Pass, the first great viewpoint of the route. Descend towards the beautiful Mitucocha Lake, where we camp facing the snow-capped mountains.

Hiking: 5 hours | 8 km

Day 03: Mitucocha – Carhuac Pass (4,630 m) – Carhuacocha Lake (4,140 m)

Ascend to Carhuac Pass with incredible views of Siula Grande and Yerupajá peaks. Arrival at Carhuacocha Lake, one of the most iconic landscapes of Huayhuash.

Hiking: 6 hours | 9 km

Day 04: Carhuacocha – Siula Pass (4,800 m) – Huayhuash (4,350 m)

A spectacular day visiting the Siula viewpoint, famous for its views of Quesillococha, Siula, and Gangrajanca lakes surrounded by enormous mountains.

Hiking: 8 hours | 14 km

Day 05: Huayhuash – Portachuelo Pass (4,770 m) – Viconga Lake

Continue south through the mountain range crossing Portachuelo Pass. Arrival at Viconga to enjoy its natural hot springs.

Hiking: 6 hours | 11 km

Day 06: Viconga – Cuyoc Pass (5,000 m) – Cuyocpampa (4,560 m)

One of the most impressive days of the circuit. Cross Cuyoc Pass with panoramic views of Siula, Yerupajá, Trapecio, and Puscanturpa peaks.

Optional: San Antonio Viewpoint (5,020 m)
Hiking: 6 hours | 9 km

Day 07: Cuyocpampa – Santa Rosa Pass (5,060 m) – Huayllapa (3,600 m)

Reach the highest point of the trek: Santa Rosa Pass. Then descend to Huayllapa, an Andean community surrounded by mountains.

Hiking: 9 hours | 18 km

Day 08: Huayllapa – Tapush Pass (4,790 m) – Gashpapampa (4,560 m)

Ascend to Tapush Pass, offering views of Diablo Mudo Mountain and the high Andean landscapes of Huayhuash.

Hiking: 7 hours | 12 km

Day 09: Gashpapampa – Llaucha Pass (4,850 m) – Jahuacocha Lake (4,100 m)

Reach Llaucha Pass, a spectacular natural viewpoint with views of Rondoy, Jirishanca, Yerupajá, and Siula peaks. End the day camping beside the beautiful Jahuacocha Lake.

Hiking: 6 hours | 9 km

Day 10: Jahuacocha – Pampa Llamac Pass – Llamac – Huaraz

Final day of the trek. Descend through beautiful Andean landscapes to Llamac, where we take transportation back to Huaraz.
