Day 1: Uros Floating Islands & Cultural Homestay Experience in Amantaní
The adventure begins early in the morning with a reception at the bus terminal in Puno. Our team will transfer you to a local accommodation where you can enjoy a hot shower, rest for a short time, and have breakfast before starting the tour full of energy.
Between 7:40 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., we will transfer you to the main port of Puno, where we will board a modern speedboat to navigate the majestic waters of Lake Titicaca, considered the highest navigable lake in the world.
Visit to the Uros Floating Islands : Our first stop will be the famous Uros Floating Islands, one of Peru’s most representative attractions. These extraordinary islands are completely built with totora reeds, an aquatic plant that naturally grows in the lake.
During the visit, you will learn about the history of the Uros people, their ancestral construction techniques, and their traditional way of life. You will also have the opportunity to interact with local families and discover how they have preserved their culture for centuries in the middle of Lake Titicaca.
Navigation to Amantaní Island : After exploring the Uros Islands, we will continue sailing for approximately three hours until reaching the beautiful Amantaní Island, one of the most authentic and well-preserved places on Lake Titicaca.
Upon arrival, local host families will welcome visitors with traditional Andean hospitality. Travelers will be divided into small groups and accommodated in family homes, where they can share unique cultural experiences and learn about the customs of the local community.
Traditional Lunch & Cultural Exchange : After settling into the accommodation, you will enjoy a delicious lunch prepared with organic products grown on the island, such as quinoa, potatoes, beans, and local vegetables.
This experience allows you to discover the lifestyle of Amantaní families and appreciate the traditions that remain alive in the Peruvian highlands.
Hike to the Temples of Pachatata & Pachamama : In the afternoon, we will hike to the highest part of the island, reaching approximately 4,150 meters above sea level.
At the top are the ancient ceremonial centers of Pachatata and Pachamama, considered sacred places by the local people. From this privileged viewpoint, you will enjoy one of the most impressive panoramic views of Lake Titicaca and admire an unforgettable sunset over the Andes.
Cultural Evening in Amantaní
At night, you will share a traditional dinner prepared by your host family. Afterwards, you can participate in a cultural evening with traditional music and dances from the island, creating an authentic connection with the local culture.

Day 2: Taquile Island – Puno – Return to Cusco
The second day begins with a traditional breakfast prepared by your host family before saying goodbye to the Amantaní community.
Discovering Taquile Island : Later, we will board the boat towards Taquile Island, internationally recognized for its extraordinary textile tradition.
The textiles created by the people of Taquile have been recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity due to their artistic and cultural value.
During the visit, we will walk along scenic paths, traditional squares, and ancient archaeological remains while learning about the social organization and customs that make this unique Andean community special.
Traditional Lunch with Views of Lake Titicaca
Before returning to Puno, we will enjoy a typical lunch prepared with local ingredients, accompanied by spectacular views of the lake and the surrounding mountains.
Return to Puno : After lunch, we will begin our navigation back to the city of Puno.
Arrival is scheduled approximately at 4:00 p.m., followed by a transfer to the bus terminal so passengers can comfortably board the night bus to Cusco.
The usual departure time for the sleeper bus is around 9:30 p.m., arriving in Cusco approximately at 6:00 a.m. the following day.
